  • How long do they take?                                                 We will develop a personal treatment plan for 2-day, 3-day, or 4-day Intensive sessions, which are 3-hours each. These are scheduled over a one to two week period, typically between 9am and 4pm.
  • What type of issues are appropriate for EMDR Intensives?   A recent traumatic event, prolonged grief, traumatic experiences in childhood or as an adult, a problematic or maladaptive pattern of response or negative belief(s) about yourself that inhibit your relationships or functioning, are some examples
  • Are EMDR Intensives a good fit for me?
    1. It is important to have an intention and focus for the EMDR Intensive. For example if you have had multiple or on-going traumas, we will be focusing on one area or event that you would like to address and process during the Intensives.
    2. Additionally, it is helpful for you to have a goal of what would be different for you if you get the help you need.
    3. Lastly, it can be beneficial if you have a current therapist that you are working with to provide on-going support or to further integrate the powerful work that you have completed.
  • What do I need to do to prepare for an Intensive?                  It’s helpful to set time aside from work, daily responsibilities, or major decisions. The Intensive sessions are just that – intense. It will be important for your body and brain to have some time to rest and digest the important work that you completed after a session.
