Are EMDR Intensives a good fit for me?
It is important to have an intention and focus for the EMDR Intensive. For example if you have had multiple or on-going traumas, we will be focusing on one area or event that you would like to address and process during the Intensives.
Additionally, it is helpful for you to have a goal of what would be different for you if you get the help you need.
Lastly, it can be beneficial if you have a current therapist that you are working with to provide on-going support or to further integrate the powerful work that you have completed.
What do I need to do to prepare for an Intensive? It’s helpful to set time aside from work, daily responsibilities, or major decisions. The Intensive sessions are just that – intense. It will be important for your body and brain to have some time to rest and digest the important work that you completed after a session.
